Tulia is born

Lisa gave birth at 2323 last night 11/29/2004 at El Camino Hospital to a healthy 6lbs 3oz baby girl. Her name is Tulia Eileen Ku.

Lisa was scheduled to be induced today 11/30 but had a RAPID labor last night after receiving a treatment to soften her cervix. She went home after two hours. Because I came to the hospital later we had to take two cars home. She then went from 1cm to 7cm in just under an hour at home. After having a bloody show and a call to the L & D dept, we rushed back to the hospital. within 10 minutes Lisa got her epidural but it wouldn't kick in until she started pushing less than 15 minutes later. Total time of labor to birth starting from the cervix treatment was about 5 hours. After a little scare of a period of bradicardia during birth, Tulia came out with only three super pushes by Lisa. I'm proud of both Tulia and Lisa for their courage.
