Remodel update

Rather than several postings, I'll summerize the last week. Lots of forward progress has been made. You can see the outside structure is coming to a good form. The entry gable has been built and looks nice. It still is waiting for some re-saw wood to deck it out.

Also they began building interior entry soffit overhang. The Clerestory windows holes over the kitchen area are framed. The structure over the kitchen area is complete.

The closets between the two rooms have been removed and the hallway is being built. New closets have been framed out. The hole has been punched for the connection of the new construction to the old.

Most exciting is we might have found our granite. After looking at about 4 different places we found a color scheme we liked. We placed them on hold and are awaiting the fabricator and contractor to look at it.

The stone color is called Creama Bordeaux. It is from Brazil.

And we past our inspections. On to the next phase, call in the subs.
